Delving deep into the minds of my students and combating their innermost demons and fears... Also, dad jokes.

Why I Started Parkour
I grew up in a jungle. I was found and raised by a friendly panther and his hetero life partner bear. We quickly learned that with my delicate fur-less body, I would need some way to combat the many adventures that were sure to come my way. I learned the ways of the animals and grew to become the most fearsome protector of the jungle.

Why I Love Parkour
I found it very difficult to express my love for parkour... so I wrote a poem:
Oh Parkour, shall I compare thee to a Summer’s day?
Love is not love, if Summer’s lease has all too short a date.
Not marble, nor the gilded monuments of princes,
Make a famine where abundance lies.
O, learn to read what silent love hath writ:
To hear with eyes belongs to love's fine wit.

Why I Started Parkour
I liked flipping and doing stuff everyone else thought was crazy or impossible, then I found out they had classes just for that! I thought the first gym that I walked into was like an adult playground and Parkour was a way to let the inner child out, and I haven't grown up since!

Why I Love Parkour
It provides a way of expressing yourself that is unique to everyone. It is an individual sport that is perfect for challenging yourself and pushing personal limits but the community is like one big family.

Why I Started Parkour:
I was introduced to Parkour by some friends, and immediately fell in love with it. I had always been interested in this kind of movement, and my friends helped me see how easy it was to start learning.

Why I Love Parkour:
I love Parkour because it allows me to let out my creative side. I am not very creative in any other way, but I love to explore different movements. I also enjoy Parkour because I can pass on my experience to my students. Parkour has given me so much happiness, and I love being able to share that with others.

Why I Started Parkour
I started Parkour with my friend Jared when I was about 11. We started after seeing old parkour videos on Youtube, doing simple things with bad form. Eventually a Parkour Gym opened up around my house, so I started formally training, still simple things with bad form, but training nonetheless. I started doing parkour because it was different. When I started, nobody I knew did parkour or even knew it existed. So naturally, when I heard of it I was enamored by the mystery of what my body could do. And the more I did it, the more I wanted to push myself to really see what could be done with just my body and my surroundings.

Why I Love Parkour
I love Parkour for the freedom that it grants you. Parkour lets you move in a way that is against the norm, yet more natural than many ways we get around today. Parkour brings people together through the simple love of movement. Many people from different walks of life gather together to explore what the human body is capable of, and I think that's pretty neat.

Why I Started:
I started out as a national gymnast and my friends started doing Parkour, so I tried it. I liked the variety of skill and creativity involved and I got hooked.

Why I Love It:
I love testing my body and challenging myself. When I learn a new movement I feel accomplished and look for ways to use it in different circumstances. It's also fun to just jump around and have a good time!

Why I Started Parkour
I grew up playing video games and watching old kung-fu movies. I always admired how the characters would fearlessly jump from thing to thing and run up walls to get where they needed. One day I decided I was going to be like my heroes, so I started practicing movements. Before I knew it I could do everything they could!

Why I Love Parkour
While Parkour started as just emulating the people I look up to, it is now something I can no longer describe. I'd love to be able to put it into words, but honestly I feel all words fall short. Parkour is my life, passion, challenge, growth, and fun. Parkour is everything to me.

Ben Graham

Job Title
Pro Trainer/Front Desk Rep

Specialty
Private training, finding progressions that work specifically with whomever I'm training

Why I Started Parkour
I started Parkour because I used to have no hobbies other than video games, and I decided to try something new. So I found a local Parkour gym, and ever since then I've been hooked.

Why I Love Parkour
I love Parkour because it's so much more than just a sport. It's a part of how I move in my daily life. It’s a passion, it's a lifestyle, it's a form of self expression, and it's all subjective to whoever is training. There are no boundaries for Parkour, as your imagination is the core of the sport, and that's what I love about it.

Job Title

Specialty
I'm not sure I have one, as I'm more of a jack of all trades.

Why I Started Parkour
I used to play soccer, and I wanted to be able to celebrate victories by doing a front flip.

Why I Love Parkour
I've always been an athlete and loved to move, but there's a feeling of freedom in Parkour that I never got anywhere else. Also the community is by far the nicest I've ever met.

Job Title
Pro Trainer

Specialty
Generalist, Power Jumping

Why I Started Parkour
Having played conventional sports such as basketball for most of my life, I wanted to explore physical activity in a different way. I was drawn to the raw athleticism and “be strong to be useful” philosophy displayed by the practitioners of the time.

Why I Love Parkour
Through Parkour, I gained an appreciation for movement from a different perspective, one that focuses on freedom, self-directed challenge, environmental awareness, and functional fitness. As I practiced Parkour, I got to know an amazing community of people who I continue to train with today. As an instructor, I have seen the benefits of Parkour in the physical literacy and confidence of younger practitioners and this has inspired me to pursue a degree in Kinesiology and teaching.
